The foundation for exploring this epic tale will be a live telling of Parzival by Kristi and Mary. Although it is medieval, this story speaks to us moderns about how to live in balance, compassion and and wholeness.

Learn about and apply the framework of Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Quest and other story patterns to your own life. We will also touch on the historical context, archetypes, the grail and the healing question.  You will create a mask and dramatic monolog for a character of choice.  Artistic Expression:  Creative Writing:  Explore how the dynamics of earth, water, air and fire are expressed in language. Through collaborative and individual writing exercises, creative imagination of elemental qualities will be explored and engaged. There will be selected thematic readings and group sharing.
