Heidi is Program Director for the Sound Circle Center Teacher Training, specializing in Early Childhood. She has worked in the early childhood classroom for over 30 years, locally and internationally. She was the Director of Early Childhood and Kindergarten in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland for 3 years, Director of the Mt. Baker Co-op Preschool for 16 years, which she transformed into a Waldorf Preschool. She worked in the kindergartens of the Seattle Waldorf School as assistant, nap teacher and afterschool care person, as a kindergarten assistant in the Ryedale Waldorf School in York, UK, and as an assistant houseparent in Camphill Malton, UK. She moved to Seattle in 1985 and raised three children Heidi has visited and volunteered in various school in India, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa and maintains an active interest in Waldorf initiatives worldwide. Heidi also studied anthroposophic nursing at the Ita Wegman Klinik in Arlesheim, Switzerland and worked as a pediatric RN in Switzerland and India, where she volunteered for two years in various projects. Heidi currently lives on Whidbey Island where she writes, practices Breema and takes long walks in the woods and on the beaches.
