A course to prepare you for your upcoming fifth grade.  In addition to child development, you’ll discover ways to enliven your teaching so that it meets the fifth grader in a meaningful and lively way. This course will explore human development, with special attention to the golden time just before the 12 year change. We will begin each day with community singing, followed by work with The Study of Man.  The remainder of the day we will explore the major themes of fifth grade through discussions, lectures, curricular activities, and artistic work, giving you the practical tools to take into your school year.
