Patricia has had a great love for singing and music since childhood; singing even during meals much to her parents’ consternation! She has a B.A. in English Literature and completed two years of Eurythmy training in Dornach, Switzerland. Since her Waldorf teacher training at Emerson College in England, for the past 26 years she has taught Kindergarten, Parent-Infant and Parent-Toddler classes in Waldorf schools, including running her own nature-based home preschool in Colorado for 10 years. During a sabbatical year Patricia taught teachers at Emerson College and has brought the kinderharp to the trainees at Sound Circle in Seattle and the Lifeways training in Vancouver, B.C. She has now retired from classroom teaching, and continues to do evaluations and mentoring of teachers in the Pacific Northwest and China. She has done site visits for WECAN and gives private kinderharp lessons to children and adults. A recent highlight for her was teaching 120 Chinese students over the course of two weeks to play, tune, compose and perform on the kinderharp at the Beijing Early Childhood Teacher Training.
