Professional Development for Waldorf educators
Join us for a middle school curriculum workshop exploring human development during the pre-adolescent years and following threads of history and indications for language arts instruction that engage and nourish the middle school student.
We will explore themes of history and civilization from Rome to modern day that reflect the developmental stages of the child between 11 and 14 years of age. Participants will be guided through exercises and discussions involving various elements of language including speech, grammar, poetics, short stories, composition and more.
Participants will begin each day singing together to mindfully tune their bodies, warm their hearts, and refresh our minds as a preparation for the day. Music will be chosen with the intention to enhance the coursework and create a rich, shared experience among all the participants.
Course Fee: $450.00 for all 5 sessions (includes all materials and non-refundable $50 registration fee)
Course Location: Seattle Waldorf Grade School, 2729 NE 100th Street, Seattle, WA 98125
